About

This is the family web site of the Martins, the present generation hailing from Bath, Michigan.  I call it a Digital Family Tree,  because it is my intention that it should become a family history, preserved and maintained for generations to come.

Please note that as of December, 2008 we have decided to make the photo galleries available only to family and friends, as noted in this post:

I had been thinking about making our photo galleries private for some time, and today (by request) I went ahead and made the change.

I welcome (and encourage!) all family members and friends to view our photo galleries, please understand that the only reason for requiring registration is that we don’t feel there is any valid reason to make them available to the entire Internet.  It is a family album, after all.

For those of you subscribed to MichiganMartins.net for e-mail updates:  I use two separate applications to run the website and the photo gallery, and I have not found a way to get them to share a login – so you have to register in the photo galleries as well.  Sorry, I’m just not that much of a tech geek.  Just for clarification, registering on the web site sends you an email update letting you know any time we write a post here on the site – any time we add pictures, we usually post it here to let people know there are new photos in the gallery.  Registering for the galleries permits you to view the photos.

I am setting it up so that when you register for the photo galleries, it will advise me of a new registrant.  Once I receive that e-mail, I will check to assure that it is family or friend, and then I will activate your account.  As of right now, I’m still bug-checking the whole registration and approval process, so if you have any problems, please let me know!

And please, don’t bother yourself with considering whether you’re “close enough family” or “close enough friends.”  You’re all extended the warmest invite I can communicate in these words – we put these pictures up to share with you!

Thanks,

Dave

  1. We are enjoying your site and even shared some of the recent pix with Grandma & Grandpa Pettet when they were here last Sunday. Little Ryan is precious! Hope to see him for ourselves soon!
